Michigan Medicine’s Many Hands of Patient Care

Aug 23, 2024 | Negotiations Recap 2024, News

We are an incredibly diverse and versatile union; 4,600 folks across 125 different job titles and more that 150 worksites!  Each one of us is a part of a complex web that is outstanding comprehensive patient care.

We make that happen because we are dedicated professionals!

In recent years, we struggled with

  • Critical staffing shortages across the health system, resulting in drastic changes to our working conditions.
  • Rigid performance metrics tied to insurance billing codes.  Not meeting these metrics can result in disciplinary actions.  To learn more follow these links:

We are healthcare professionals.  We are people with families.  We are patients who can become ill and injured.  We experience grief and loss.  We deserve respect, care and compassion too!

These are major reasons that brought us together as a union and what we are fighting for:  Respect and Dignity!

Meet and learn about us by following us on Facebook, Instagram and X.

In Solidarity
