On Monday, May 12th, all UMMAP bargaining unit members should have received two separate notices from the employer about the year one raise.
NOTICES
1. You should have received an email from HR providing your new pay rate and placement on the salary scale under the contract.
2. You should have also received an email from Michigan Medicine with information about the timeline and the dispute process.
The timeline is the same as we previously reported, as follows:
- May 16th paycheck: Raise for bi-weekly employees
- May 30th paycheck: Raise for monthly employees
- June 27th paycheck: Retro Pay for bi-weekly employees
- June 30th paycheck: Retro Pay for monthly employees
FILING A DISPUTE CLAIM
If you believe your pay rate is incorrect, you are encouraged to take action ASAP.
First, you must submit a dispute claim via ServiceNow. Follow this link to file a dispute. Read this Job Aid for information about how to do it. If you work on campus, you must contact your HR representative to file a claim.
Second, if HR denies your claim, you have the option to file a grievance.
Employees have sixty (60) days from May 12th to submit a dispute claim.

We have asked Labor Relations how long it will take to review each individual pay dispute and will update members once we have a better idea of the timeline.
YEAR TWO RAISE
At present we expect that members will have the opportunity to submit employment history forms and resumes for the Year Two salary adjustment starting on June 1st. That is a tentative start date. The Year Two raise will take effect November 1, 2025.
